No matter which trail you chosse, it will always reveal impressive experiences of nature. Narrow roads lead to springy forest soils, through shady valleys and silent forests, past rugged rock outcrops or through the vineyards. Again and again the crests allow spectacular views of the vibrant Rhine Valley and the majestic tranquillity that radiates from the river.

Rightly, we may call the region a paradise for hikers, because of the three major, Rhine crossing long-distance paths. The Rheinsteig - 2006 awarded as the most beautiful hiking trail in the category of hiking routes -  is undoubtedly the star among them.

For experienced and demanding hikers the "Via ferrata" opened in Spring 2006 in Boppard`s hillside is a must! Within a radius of about 300 km you will find no comparable offer!
