Information on the current Corona Regulation

Dear guests,

in Rhineland-Palatinate currently applies the 2G+rule (vaccinated or recovered + test proof; the latter is not applicable for people with booster vaccination).

You can either bring a confirmed test certificate (form a test centre; not older than 24h) or do self/quick test here on site under supervision (4,50 € pP).

Currently we are not allowed to issue certificates for the on-site test. The test must be renewed every 72 hours (counting from the time of the last test).

Compact: 2G-Plus
Since 14.1.2022, the government has no longer directly regulated the exemption regulations from the testing obligation under the 2G-Plus rule, but instead refers to the website of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for this purpose.

There you will find the current quarantine regulations. These quarantine regulations apply in mirror image to the test exemption regulation within the framework of the 2G-Plus rule in the currently valid Corona Control Regulation in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The following principle applies: vaccinated and recovered people, who are exempt from the quarantine rule according to the RKI list, also do not require an additional test to visit Rhineland-Palatinate hospitality establishments. Therefore, for these people there is no need for the "Plus".

Important to know: the (one-time) vaccination with Jonson & Johnson no longer counts as fully vaccinated. The initial vaccination with Johnson & Johnson is considered one (of 2 for full vaccination protection) required "shots". Full vaccine protection now always requires 2 "shots".

Here is a brief overview:

2G-Plus: Exemptions without testing apply to:

  • individuals with a booster vaccination, which means a total of three shots required (including any combination with COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
How long persons with booster vaccination are considered immunized has not yet been finalized, according to the Federal Ministry of Health. Technically, however, the certificate in the Corona app expires after one year, according to the expiration dates stored there.
  • individuals with two vaccinations, from the 15th day after the second shot until the 90th day after vaccination, also applies to COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)
  • convalescents: here the exemption from the obligation to test applies from the 28th day until the 90th day from the date of taking the positive test
  • vaccinated convalescents (vaccinated with a breakthrough infection or convalescents who received a vaccination following illness)

2G-Plus: Exceptions for children and teenager
For 2G-Plus events, children up to and including twelve years and three months of age are considered vaccinated and do not require additional proof of testing. Adolescents up to and including 17 years of age who are vaccinated or recovered also do not require additional negative proof of testing.

Teenager of 17 and under, who are not vaccinated or recovered, may also be present (up to a maximum of 25) at 2G-Plus events, if they provide a valid negative test (not older than 24h).

Travelers who have been certified vaccine-eligible/vaccine-tolerant will travel with PCR test (max. 48h old).

From 12 years old, all hotel and restaurant guests wear FFP2/KN95 masks. These may be taken off at the table and when using the wellness facilities

Our employees wear FFP2/KN95 masks and are vaccinated, recovered or daily negative tested.

Your health is close to our hearts. That's why we began thinking about how best to manage the virus at the outset of the pandemic.

Since the outbreak, no incident of infection has been reported in our hotels. Over 95% of our hotel team has been vaccinated and some have already been boosted. We now have a sophisticated system of ventilation in our restaurants, including air purifiers from the company IQ-Air. We measure the air in the restaurants with particle filters from the company TROTEC and can react immediately, if necessary.

VERY IMPORTANT: The distance requirement continues to be implemented in all restaurants, although we would not have to do so under the current regulation. All colleagues have been wearing a mouth-nose covering for over 18 months, even though this is not mandatory everywhere at all times. We are only utilizing the hotel gastronomy to the extent that seats are available, including the distance requirement, and this is currently up to 40% less than before the pandemic. It therefore has a direct impact on our maximum capacity utilization in the hotel. On well-booked days, a second full breakfast buffet or restaurant is regularly offered on the Belle Etage and this means more effort, but for all our protection.

In our house, the following still applies: bookings that cannot be made due to an order from the government can be cancelled free of charge. Of course, we also share your concern, but we have developed solutions to safely survive the pandemic.

Stay with us. We thank you for your trust and for your understanding.

Your family Gawel
